HOW TO BECOME AN INSTRUCTOR AT IN-SHAPE

YOUR PATH TO BECOMING
THE HEAD OF THE CLASS
- Get certified in a format you are passionate about
- Need to get certified? Check out the info below to find an online or in-person training. You may not have to drive far – In-Shape is hosting trainings throughout the year!
- Practice what you learned in your training.
Work on technique, coaching, cuing, and letting your personality shine. Attend classes to see how other instructors coach and cue. - Apply online at https://www.inshape.com/careers at the club nearest you
- Perform an Audition
A Regional Programming Manager will be your first point of contact in the application process. They will schedule an audition with you in the format(s) you’d like to be considered for.- An audition is around 10-15 mins per format. Auditions may be solo or with other applicants
- Meet with the General Manager
- If you pass your audition, you’ll interview with the General Manager of the club to confirm hiring.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
We accept all levels of experience – from newly certified to many years of instructing. All group fitness instructors must have a current certification for the format they want to teach.
